Visa & documents

Get your documents in order

Traveling between Ghana and the USA? We guide you through the passports, visas, yellow fever and SEVIS documents your trip needs — alongside your booking.

What to prepare

Four things to check before you fly

We coordinate this alongside your flights and hotels, so you arrive ready rather than scrambling.

Check your passport

Most countries require a passport valid for at least six months beyond your entry date. Confirm blank pages and expiry well before booking.

Confirm visa requirements

U.S. citizens need a visa for Ghana; travelers to the U.S. need the appropriate U.S. visa. Requirements depend on your passport and trip purpose — we point you to the right process.

Health documents

A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry to Ghana. Discuss malaria prevention and routine vaccines with your doctor ahead of travel.

Student & special documents

For Ghana → USA students, this includes the I-20/DS-2019 and SEVIS (I-901) fee. For ESTA-eligible travelers to the U.S., confirm your ESTA approval before flying.

Good to know

  • Visa and entry requirements change and vary by nationality — always verify on official government sources before travel.
  • We help coordinate and guide, but Friendship Travel Agency is not an immigration authority and cannot guarantee a visa decision.
  • Plan documents early: visa appointments, vaccinations and SEVIS processing can take several weeks.
